3 sleeps to go...

Welcome to my tier point blog,
Firstly, a special thank you to Raffles from headforpoints without whom I would not have found a new hobby in traveling the world on airline and hotel miles and points.

My goal is to fly enough to 'earn' 5000 British Airways Tier Points in order to achieve the top level "Gold Guest List" status which will unlock travel perks such as access to first class lounges and the Concorde room, opening Avios availability even when there are no redemption seats available and Hilton Diamond status.

If everything goes to plan I will be able to open up 20 first class seats worth over £100,000 if you booked them on BA.com for around £20,000 of Avios points.

This blog is not about the specific benefits of the British Airways Executive Club or how to earn tier points, it's an insight into what it's like in reality to fly 40+ sectors in as short a period of time as possible.

Low dosage aspirin at the ready ...

  1. Hi, to open up (so you can make use of) that many first class seats using Avios you must be starting with a couple of million Avios already ?
    Is that right ?
I love the idea but takes some planning for years in advance before then doing a GGL qualifying year with the intention of spending all your saved up Avios over the next 12 months after the GGL qualification.
    Is this right ?
Good work by the way. I'd be quite concerned about the old DVT !
